When Paige graduated in 2015, she thought she had her life figured out. She was going to be a journalist! Paige already had offers on the table for her dream job, she graduated debt-free; she was going to be living the American dream! Three days before graduation, God revealed to Paige that He had a different plan for her life. God called her to the mission field.
Paige moved to Denton for a year to complete the Chi Alpha internship and then returned to Texas State. Shortly after she met her future husband, Kyland. Throughout their dating season, he developed a heart for college ministry and felt called to minister to the young men of Chi Alpha.
Today, Paige and Kyland serve as US Missionaries through Chi Alpha at Texas State. Paige oversees all things digital and disciples the women leaders and members. Kyland serves as worship director and disciples the guy leaders.
The college and university campus is our world's most strategic mission field and influential institution. Home to our emerging future leaders. What happens on the campus is directly related to what America is and will become. It provides a gateway into the world connecting us to more than 1 million international students who are ready to learn about our culture and religion.
Share our ministry with others so that when their kids are college age, the parents can rest easy knowing there is a God- centered family waiting for them. We want to give them a God-centered community to continue growing in, so that they walk out their relationship with Christ for the rest of their lives!
Make the decision to partner with us financially. With your partnership, Paige can be on campus full-time. Without the financial partnership of my friends, family, churches, and local businesses, we can’t meet freshmen every Fall semester or sit down and help them discover their identity in Christ. Please consider becoming a monthly partner so we can stay on campus throughout every season of the semester!
Pray for souls, transformation and reconciliation on campus. We believe revival is wanting to break loose on our campus, but we need to fight the forces working against it with the best weapon we have; prayer. So many times when we've reached out to my team for prayer over a student; there’s breakthrough!
Partnering with us means investing in the spiritual direction of future generations. Your partnership allows us to fully invest in the students of Texas State. We want to introduce you to some of the amazing women that Paige has discipled since being on staff! Without our monthly partners, these amazing women of God may not have had someone to guide them into embracing their identity with Christ!
Missionary to
Korea
Ashley came into Chi Alpha because her sister was heavily involved. After being healed of asthma and depression at a conference, she developed a fire for growing close to God. She is now using her story and drive to minister to students in South Korea, just as she did at Texas State.
Worship Leader
Chris got involved with Chi Alpha after his friend Christian joined. Chris joined the worship team and quickly grew in his confidence in worship leading. Through Kyland's mentorship Chris was able to lead worship at our fall conference! Chris now serves as a worship leader in multiple ministries.
Public Relations Grad
Caleb transferred to Texas State his junior year to study public relations. Caleb began leading a small group and was a great influence at Texas State! He now serves in a massive role at his church. He is also building a career to be an SRO or Community Outeach Officer in Hays County.

Frequently Asked Questions
There are principles in the Bible that show ministers of the Gospel should be paid by the Gospel (learn more by reading next question, Is raising support biblical?) . Two categories of people that fall under that are pastors who are paid by the people they serve and missionaries who are supported by others that aren't directly receiving service from them. Chi Alpha workers are missionaries. We get to rally together a team of people who provide prayer and financial support to further the proclamation of the Gospel on campus.
Yes! Paul says, the Lord has commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel (1 Cor 9:14). There are several examples of this being practiced in Scripture. Here are some examples:
The whole Levitical system in the Old Testament (the Levites were ministers) is predicated on the financial support of ministers by the rest of God's people (Numbers 18:21–24) is a representative example). See Nehemiah 13:4–11 for how outraged Nehemiah was that the Levites had to go earn wages in another fashion.
Jesus' ministry was funded by some of those who heard Him (Luke 8:1–3) and He taught the disciples to rely on others while ministering (Matthew 10:5–15).
Paul asked the Roman church to financially support Phoebe, one of the ministers at Cenchrae (Romans 16:1–2). Paul himself received support and was grateful for it (Philippians 4:10–20).
What about Paul's tent making days? Paul did not always support himself by making tents. That was the second‐best option for him. See Acts 18:1–5, where Paul began by making tents and quit as soon as he was in a spot financially able to do so. See 1 Corinthians 9:1–18, where Paul's whole point is that the Corinthians owed him support. He concludes the letter by telling them that he hopes to stop by and that he hopes they will provide for him to finish his journey in 1 Cor 16:5–6.
In Romans 15:20–24, Paul asks a church he has never visited before to fund him on his journey to Spain. Paul teaches in Galatians 6:6 that Christians are obligated to provide for the needs of ministers. The apostle John encouraged his friend to support a crew of missionaries in 3 John 5–8.
The church is people! So, by raising support the church is paying us...but really? It's a scalable system for the denomination. Each new missionary is required to raise the funds necessary for their own ministry. We can always produce more missionaries, no matter how many we have because there's no fixed allotment that all the missionaries have to compete for.
Raising support requires that missionaries build a network of relationships which gives access to more resources and more people with different perspectives, skills, and giftings. This allows the Gospel message to go further then it ever could by just the missionary going alone. Many missionaries have become missionaries through being in contact with another missionary. Support‐raising forces missionaries to develop relationships that ultimately result in the production of new missionaries.
All financial supports goes through AG United States Missions and they will send you a receipt.
